The SPSO’s Training Unit provides both direct delivery and e-learning training solutions for public sector complaint handlers.

SPSO Conference 2017 -Making the Most of Complaints: Using Learning to Improve Public Services

15 March 2017, Central Hall, Edinburgh.

This event will use a mixture of presentations, hands-on workshops and good practice examples from public authorities that use learning from complaints effectively to make their services better. We will provide tools to help increase the positive benefits of complaints in supporting public authorities to prevent repeat failings and bring about change as a direct result of making the most of the learning.

E-learning courses

The Training Unit’s e-learning courses have been developed for frontline staff to help with the introduction of the Model CHPs developed for each sector.

This training is available to all public sector bodies and is free. However, access is restricted due to a limited number of licences available at any one time.  To access our e-learning programme please go to our Training Centre.
