Councils and housing associations across Scotland are planning and implementing SPSO-compliant model complaints handling procedures (CHPs).
Aberdeenshire Council contributed to early discussions on a model CHP for the local government sector through their membership of the local authority working group charged with designing a suitable model for councils across Scotland. They are now working to implement a model CHP at their own council to comply with the SPSO’s model.
John Stevenson, CSA Officer at SPSO, caught up with working group member Morag Esson, Customer Service Manager/Project Manager at Aberdeenshire Council, about her participation and involvement in the working group and found out about Aberdeenshire Council’s progress towards adopting the model CHP.
